Introductory Course
This Introductory Course is offered as a starting point for those who have expressed an interest in Occult Science, and specifically in Theosophy.

It is based on a Course written in 1935 by Ms. Emogene Simmons and it has been revised and enlarged by Mr. Renard, who wrote five additional lessons to conform a total of fourteen.

The difficulty encountered with efforts to disseminate theosophical doctrines lies in the complexity of works such as The Secret Doctrine and others which make the teachings difficult for the average reader. Personal intuition, if well developed, will help. Still, we have deemed it necessary to put the material in terms which may be more understandable and useful for all those interested.

The student must remember that what he/she will read or view on the text and videos of the Course should be considered only hypothetical. Theosophy holds no dogmas or creeds of any kind, it merely delivers information which the student must examine, investigate, ponder and compare, before determining its validity and usefulness. H.P. Blavatsky indicated that this dispensation of esoteric knowledge represents only a “a tip of the iceberg” and it should not be considered as the final truth. The latter simply cannot be put into words, and it will be fully realized by the student solely when he/she has developed a proper state of consciousness to that effect. These lessons represent a first step in that direction.

The videos have been prepared to be seen through Windows Media Player, just by clicking once on the lesson’s title. We have also included a written version of the lessons for those who feel it useful and which contain a more expanded version of the material. Just click where it says “written”. You will need Acrobat Reader to read it. If you don’t have it, you can download it here.
